Out of Her Depth

Meggie Trevor's debut in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine was nominated as Best Short Story for 2009 by both the Private Eye Writers of America and the International Thriller Writers Association. Now the Key West sleuth is back, mixing it up with amateur sex stars, a shotgun-toting chef, and a client who aims to be Porn King of the Florida Keys. Her mother had better not find out! Rowdy Key Wasted has never been scruffier--or deadlier. John C. Boland's mysteries have appeared in national magazines for more than thirty years. USA Today called his novel EASY MONEY (St. Martin' Press) an "entertaining whodunit . . . great fun." And The Washington Times warned readers of DEATH IN JERUSALEM to "hang on around the corners," with Kirkus adding the story "roars along like a BMW in heat." This is Boland's eighth novel, following 2009's first Meggie Trevor adventure, LAST ISLAND SOUTH, also from Perfect Crime Books.
